Starting school

Stephanie started school this year and is doing very well.
She is already writing lots of words and is already reading starter books. She is completely and utterly exhausted physically by the end of the school day and I have had to carry her to the car on a few occassions, most days she really finds it hard to walk even holding my hand. She has special support at recess and lunch break to help her get around and to go to the toilet and has not had any toilet "accidents", which is completely remarkable since it has been such a battle up until now. She has been placed in the front of the classroom for hearing and vision and is seated on a small chair whilst other children are on the floor for story time to support her body (or she will just want to lie down on the floor). The school has been so fantastic and her teacher is very strict but unbelievably good and all the children in her class are flourishing. She has made lots of friends already and has informed me that she will be marrying a boy in her class called "Thomas".
